COULD THIS FIX AMERICA?

The other day I heard that "having an argument can be healthy."

Which raised a question in my mind. How does one have a healthy argument? So I googled it.  What I found was interesting.

As you'd expect, there are many articles/tips on how to have a "healthy argument."  Here is a link to one such article with super tips for arguments in a relationship.

Naturally my search on the subject  brought me to a lot of material on "how to win an argument." That vein had nothing to do with my inquiry but it is understandable why it came up in my search. I will only say this on that.

Of course, it is one thing to win a "debate" or a court case, and another to win an argument in a relationship with a loved one.  That reminds me of two old adages: "Pick your battles" and "win the battle but lose the war."  (Dam the ego!)

There is another perspective concerning "healthy arguments" that you might not have anticipated. That got me thinking on another level.

Arguments can make us smarter. In other words, arguments can raise our intelligence.  This article explains.

Arguments help the way we see and understand a problem.
Arguments provide meaningful alternative perspectives.
Arguments reveal flaws.

Arguments can lead to new approaches and trigger fresh ideas for solving problems. 

By the same token, stifling or silencing other views diminishes the potential that an argument offers. If this happens, people on all sides of the problem lose!

As I read that article the thought occurred to me. There is a potential flip-side to the terrible disagreements in our society today.  I began to wonder. That led me to the following question which is also the basis for the title of this blog post.

CAN WE FIX AMERICA BY FIXING HOW WE ARGUE?

Then I formed that question into the premise of a possible argument:

IF we improve the way we are arguing we have a chance of fixing the things we are arguing about!  Let me repeat what I just said.

IF WE FIX HOW WE ARGUE WE CAN FIX AMERICA'S PROBLEMS.

To illustrate the potential value of fixing the way we argue I will state it more specifically:

• If we fix the way we argue about the problems associated with climate change we can fix some of the problems associated with climate change. 
• If we fix the way we argue about the problems associated with gun violence we can fix some of the problems associated with gun violence. 
• If we fix the way we argue about the problems associated with homelessness we can fix some of the problems associated with homelessness. 

I realize that what I am saying is not entirely realistic. I also recognize that I am oversimplifying the solution to many of society's most complex problems.

By the same token, you must agree that there is too much "stinken thinken" in the world.  (That phrase is a quote of one of my favorite humans named Zig Ziglar. He used to love to say that when he was alive. I miss old Zig.)

In conclusion, if it is true, and if arguing can help us to more intelligently solve problems, then it is reasonable to believe that we increase the potential for solutions by being more open to healthy disagreements.

On a very personal note I want to add this.

As a Libertarian Conservative; as a person with strong views on faith; as a "thinker" who cares about the world that people I love are growing up in - I often share thoughts that people don't agree with. It can lead to arguments. Sadly, that isn't turning out so well. Some wish I'd keep my thoughts to myself.

I know I can NOT change the world by myself!  I'm not a fool. But I have two children and grandchildren that I love with all my heart and I am trying desperately to do my best in the simple ways that I have. By writing.

THIS YEAR WILL BE FILLED WITH STARK CONTRAST

THE CONTRASTS COULDN'T BE GREATER THAN THEY ARE GOING TO BE WITH THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION.

The inevitability of Biden's demise is palatable.  And Elizabeth Warren is too annoying to be President.

As it should, running for President reveals nearly everything about a person. IT EXPOSES THEM. The process is designed to let the American voter know as much as possible about the candidates.

The lengthy primary selection whittles down the choices and ensures the strongest and hardest working individuals survive to serve our country as President.  Sadly, the special interests, money, biased media, powerful political parties and the Deep State all corrupt and rig the process.

With Biden's fate virtually sealed, it is looking more and more like the final Presidential race will be between Socialist Sanders and Capitalist Trump.  That would be perfect!

Two old white men from the northeast punching it out. And yet, the contrasts couldn't be greater. 

Here are a few of the contrasts. You'll be able to tell who is who even without names:

• A Godless self-hating Jew against a man with orthodox Jewish children and advisers. One who starts his day with a prayer breakfast and evokes God and blessings in practically every speech.
• A person who shows contempt for Israel against one who is loved by the nation of Israel and is literally their hero. 
• A fan of Communist dictators that honeymooned in the Soviet Union and doesn't seem to like anything about America against a man whose entire Presidency is based on a platform of Patriotism and the greatness of America. 
• A man who has lived off the taxpayers and hasn't had private job in his lifetime against a man who created thousands of jobs and built a massive business creating millions in tax revenues.
• A man that believes in taxation to take away the wealth that belongs to them and redistribute it to others who didn't earn it and a philanthropist who gives away his own wealth to the peopleand causes he believes in and chooses.
• A person in politics all his life against a relative newcomer.  
• A Washington insider against the ultimate Washington outsider. 
• One whose Party can't stand him and will do underhanded tricks to sabotage him against the man who has united his Party and has extremely high approval ratings. 
• The most unsuccessful and unproductive legislator in Congress against a man whose name and life story are synonymous with success and entrepreneurship. 
• One who has accomplished nothing over 40 years in Congress against the one who has accomplished more tremendous and difficult things in three years than anyone in history.
• A politician who accumulated wealth by being a politician against a man who lost billions of his own money pursuing his passion to make America great.
• A person who believes in the power of free markets to create opportunities and jobs and a better way of life for the poor against a man who doesn't.
• A person who is bitter and angry at the world and who is constantly scolding Americans against a man who is joyful, funny and people love to be around and is constantly praising others.
• A man who we never see with their family against a man who is almost always surrounded by family, is often holding his wife's hand and has children who have been loyal supporters his entire life. 

THIS IS A YEAR FILLED WITH CONTRASTS. 

THE CONTRASTS WILL EXPOSE THE TRUTH.

TRUTH DESTROYS EVIL.

The truth is that President Trump is MAKING AMERICA GREATER and Bernie Sanders would destroy it!

TRUTH IS ON THE MARCH

TRUTH is on the march in the Senate since the House Managers wrapped up their opening arguments for the articles of Impeachment.

0101■2020 is going to be a year of contrasts. There is no better example than the contrast between the House Managers' prosecution and the response by the President's defense team.

All day Monday the Senate heard the truth from the Right side.

The President's defense team is presenting the Senate and the American people enough to know:

1. The Biden family is corrupt
2. There is justification for the President's actions
3. This impeachment is a hoax

Once the President's response to the House Managers is concluded the Senate will have sufficient knowledge and understanding to reach a decision on:

• The need to call witnesses
• Whether the House Managers have made their case
• To remove or acquit the President of the United States

So what happens next???
There is a lot of talk about the Senate calling witnesses.  I don't believe that will happen. In fact, I don't believe the Senate will even be given the opportunity to debate the question and option on the need for witnesses. Here is why . . .

Under the Impeachment Rules established by the FULL Senate, the President's defense team has the RIGHT TO CALL THE VOTE!!

Under Senate rules the President's defense team WILL EXECUTE IT'S RIGHT TO PROTECT THE PRESIDENT AND THE PRESIDENCY.  They will ACCELERATE the impeachment process. They will STOP wasting the Senate's time on the hoax. They will SAVE we the taxpayers money.  They will SPARE THE NATION!

THE SENATE WILL VOTE TO ACQUIT. 

Then what?
The House Democrats and the mainstream will be incensed. Their hopes and egos will be smashed!  How will they respond? In a fit of rage!

The Democrats will try to stir up rage in the public - the voters!  The Democrats will try to carry that rage all the way into the 2020 election.

THE DEMOCRATS PLAN WILL BACKFIRE. 

The conspirators to overthrow the election will be destroyed by their own egos and the hate that is in their hearts. The truth will expose them and destroy their Party's chances in the Presidential election.

The hoax is over, thank heavens. But we haven't heard the last of it.  Because the tables have turned on the sick corrupt liars in Washington that will do anything for the power and money.

Since 0101■2020 TRUTH has been on the march! The Truth is going to transform our Country - it is going to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN.

TRYING TO IMAGINE THE UNIMAGINABLE

Trying to remember the Holocaust is like trying to count the stars in the sky.

One cannot count the stars in the darkest night sky. Only the Creator can count the stars. And only God can imagine the Holocaust.

The Holocaust is truly unimaginable for any of us. It is LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE for the human mind to imagine the Holocaust. Try it and you'll see.  You'll give up within 5 minutes!!

Try to imagine the collection, transportation, documentation, stripping, shaving, humiliation, torture, murder and disposal of 1 person. Try to imagine an entire family you love being torn apart. Children ripped from parents. Parents ripped from children. Now try to imagine it for 10 people you know. Then try it for 100 people. Now for 1000, then for 10,000, 100,000, 1,000,000 human beings. 

There is NO WAY for any of us to imagine what happened to 1,000,0000 + 1,000,0000 +1,000,0000 + 1,000,0000 +1,000,0000 +1,000,0000 human BEINGS.

There is NO conceivable way to imagine the incalculabe horrors of SIX MILLION INDIVIDUAL people. There is no way to imagine the futures each them were robbed of and all the lives that would have been.

Six million is the number that is used. Even if the actual number was 6,000,001, that ONE person mattered! What if that ONE PERSON was YOU. Would you want to be rounded off for all of history, never to even be counted?

We are incapable of imagining the 16,438 individual birthdays EVERY day of evey year that took place in concentration camps. We are incapable of imagining each persons cries. 

We are incapable of imagining six million personalities. Men, woman and children, each special in their own way, with their own story, hopes and private thoughts --- one by one, being killed.  YOU CAN'T DO IT. IT'S UNIMAGINABLE!

The night lasts about 12 hours.  Even if we had a hundred dark nights we couldn't count the all the stars.

The Holocaust lasted 2251 of the darkest nights in world history. 321 weeks filled with fear and children being torn from their mother and father's arms.

Incalculable last moments of loved ones looking desperately into each other's eyes until their connection was broken. Horrified faces seared into a mind's eye.  An image taken with them into the fire.

Or worse, for the survivor who spent a thousand more nights seeing in their nightmares again and again their dear one being taken from them. Reliving the horror. But needing to bury the memories because they are too painful to recall.

Survivors who are fewer every year. Survivors who soon won't be with us to help us remember so we never forget.

It is UNIMAGINABLE.  But I can imagine this . . .

I can picture myself as a young man with a 28 year old beautiful wife. She has long flaming red hair. We have two little children. A 5 year old boy and tiny 3 year old girl with long blond hair.

I can imagine the Nazi soldiers breaking down the doors of our home. Powerful scary men with guns swooping up our little ones as they screamed for help. They yelled mommy, mommy, daddy help. My wife was smacked to the floor. And me, shamed and powerless to stop the soldiers.  I didn't even have words to say that could help my children. Their daddy couldn't save them and their mother couldn't kiss and hold them. Then, all of us were dragged from our home and taken away.

That is as far as I can imagine.  I cannot bear to imagine a moment more. It is UNIMAGINABLE.

REMEMBERING SACRED GROUND AND A SACRED CAUSE

PAUSE FOR A MOMENT TO CONSIDER . . .

The other day I made another visit to sacred ground.  To a field on FREEMAN'S Farm near Saratoga New York.

To remember a time when America's fate could a have gone another way. However, Providence favored the rebels.

It was the Winter of 1777. BEFORE the French supported the Continental Army in our Revolution against the British. The Revolution was not going well. And the battle of Saratoga was pivotal.

The Continental Army General Gates chose the high ground for his stand against British General Burgoyne. Burgoyne was leading the British on a campaign that planned to take every Continental Fort as he led his troops southward from Canada along the Hudson River. They had just taken Fort Ticonderoga to the north.

General Gates and his rag-tag ill-equipped, starving and freezing men had built fortifications to hold the high ground. They were as ready as they could be to face the fire of the most powerful army in the world that had never been defeated.

Many of Gates's soldiers were militia who walked long distances from other colonies to join the fight. They left behind family and friends. Many left their blood, limbs and lives on the field of battle. There was no treatment for PTSD for those whose body survived.

Their valor and sacrifice turned the direction of the Revolutionary War.

Today, with so much confusion about America's identity it is worth remembering.  They fought for self-determination and they died for LIBERTY! NOT SOCIALISM!!

They fought to Make America!

MAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN

The tables have turned.  0101■2020 will be a year of contrasts.

For 40+ years we have watched Iranians burn American and Israeli flags.  Thanks to President Trump's foreign policy we see this FIRST. (Watch the video.) They aren't chanting "death to America" now!!

The totalitarian theocratic leaders in Iran are struggling to hold on. Protests are breaking out across the country.

OUR PRESIDENT IS MASTERFUL!!!
The Ayatollah is in check and the Ayatollah knows that his next move may put him in checkmate. Consider how President Trump has him boxed with the following steps:

1. WARNINGS - Trump has issued public warnings.
a)  If the Ayatollah sheds American blood the USA will make the leadership pay an enormous price.
b) Stop killing the protesters.
c) Stating that the USA has already identified over 50 targets and is ready to strike them underscores the stakes and puts impossible pressure and stress on the regime to figure out how to defend these sites. Now the USA intelligence can observe the Iranian defense movements to calculate which targets Iran is most concerned about. Very revealing!

2. ACTIONS - Trump's actions, such as killing Soleimani, make his warnings and threats highly credible.

They also make it clear that Trump is targeting Iran's leadership and it's ability to wage war and commit terrorism, NOT the Iranian people!  Iran's people now know they have more to fear from their leadership than from Trump.

Trump's actions are in sharp contrast to Obama's appeasement actions such as turning his back on the "green movement" Iranian protesters and sending piles of cash. Trump immediately walked away from the insane Iran Nuclear deal which Obama made despite the stern objections of both Israel and most in the USA Congress, including Democrats. Trump issued crushing sanctions that have drained the Iranian regime's capacity to terrorize the region.

3. READINESS = DETERRENCE - Notice how Trump keeps repeating that he has rebuilt the USA'S military.  Readiness and tremendous military superiority coupled with his "warnings" and "credible actions" are a powerful deterrent.

4. SOLIDARITY - From the beginning of his Administration with his historical Middle East Summit to his recent now famous Farsi tweet, Trump has made his high praise and support for the Iranian PEOPLE (Persians) clear.

The Iranian people have come to view their own government as the enemy and the USA President as their ally in their struggle for Liberty.  We share solidarity in our desire for freedom and Democracy. This is profound!!

5. SOVEREIGNTY - Since President Trump's tremendous U.N. General Assembly speech almost two years ago, the President has consistently stressed SOVEREIGNTY! By emphasizing "Sovereignty" Trump has countered the "imperialist" reputation that our enemies in the Middle East, particularly the Ayatollah, have accused the USA of for nearly a half century.

6. A CLEAR NON-NEGOTIABLE DEMAND - In sharp contrast to the Iranian nuclear deal by Obama which put Iran on the road to nuclear weapons 3 years from now, Trump immediately declared clear demands. Iran must never have nuclear weapons. Iran must stop promoting terrorism and threatening the region.


MAKE AMERICA GREAT = MAKE IRAN GREAT.
Trump wants every national leader to focus on making their country and it's people prosperous. Trump has sent the message to the people of Iran and others around the world that he believes -

All human beings deserve the same inalienable right to Liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Trump's recurring message is that every country should be great and celebrate it's unique history.

With respect to Iran, Trump wants what's best for the Iranian people more than their leaders do. And now the Iranian people know that. Nothing represents that contrast better than the short video clip of Iranian students refusing to walk on the flags of the USA and Israel.

A WORLDWIDE MESSAGE - The effects of Trump's policies, communications and message have been heard around the world. From Hong Kong to Taiwan to Iran to Europe.

Everywhere where people long for Liberty, prosperity and the right to pursue happiness, Trump and the USA have become the beacon of hope America once was. This may be in one sense the most important way Trump has made America Great again.

ANTI-SEMITISM IS DIFFERENT THAN ORDINARY HATE

It is pretty well excepted that hate is a large and growing problem.  Not just in America. It is as much of a problem in Europe, maybe more. 

Anti-Semitism is considered hate. But is different than your garden variety hate. 

For one thing, some say it is the oldest hate. It has biblical roots that trace back to Genesis and the Abraham. 

Another characteristic of anti-Semitism is that it comes at Jews from all sides.  Anti-Semitism exists in all nations, all cultures, all ethnic and religious groups, all levels of society. It is hard to defend yourself when you are being attacked from all sides. 

A classic Jewish humorous line puts Jewish history and experience this way, "I know we are the Chosen People, but why did you have to choose us."

The history of the Jewish people is summed up with this classic Jewish humorous phrase:

They tried to kill us. We survived. Let's eat.

From biblical times, through the dark ages and medieval times, through the American Revolution, WWII to today, Jews have had to deal with people accusing us of many things and blaming us for a lot more. 

Jews have responded to the hate we faced over thousands of years in very constructive ways. From our sense of humor to how we practice our faith and keep traditions to our entrepreneurial spirit and professional tendencies, Jews have strengthened themselves in response to hate.  

Anti-Semitism isn't just a type hate, it is a measure of hate in all forms in a society. Anti-Semitism is a gauge that applies to society at large!!  The surest sign of a healthy society is how it treats it's Jews.  

It is said that God chose the Jews to be a Light to all the nations of the world.  I don't believe that means that God ensured the salvation of the Jews more than any other nation of people.

Jews are to be a light to the world by showing the world how to be behave by walking in the says of the Torah. 

The obvious implication is that we are to demonstrate God's laws, his Commandments and Mitzvot for the world to see. We are supposed to show others to "love their fellow as themselves."  

Yeshua (Jesus) was a Jew who took this message one step further and showed us both a life and a death that was dedicated to God's ways, and was for purposes of saving us from our personal failings to do so.

God rewarded Nations that honor the Jews who honor the Torah. Such Nations have a healthy and prosperous society. They are blessed. God is to be feared as well, and Nations that curse the Jews have been cursed.  

In conclusion, anti-Semitism is different. I offer a different way to view anti-Semitism -- a paradigm shift. 

The more that there is "hate in the hearts" of the people of any nation, the more anti-Semitism rises in that nation!  Anti-Semitism is the RESULT of hate. regardless of whether that hate is for Jews or others. 

In other words, anti-Semitism is an indication of a dysfunctional society.  That is why Jews have been referred to as the "canary in a coal mine" -- Jews are an "early warning system" of society or nation with a toxic level of hate. 

Therefore, anti-Semitism is as much a result of the hate people have for Trump OR Hillary as it is for the hate people have for other things including Jews. 

Regardless of whether hate is rising on the Right OR the Left, it elevates anti-Semitism.  And when it is coming from both sides, which it is today in America, as well as Europe, the rise in anti-Semitism is that much greater. 

Anti-Semitism is a measure of the overall hate in a society. 

When people say that love is the answer, they are right in the sense that Love is the opposite of hate. So a society in which loving kindness is predominant, hate is pushed down and therefore anti-Semitism declines as a result.

That is not to say we should love and tolerate any anti-semite let alone any form of hate.

What it is clear to me is that the dramatic rise in anti-Semitism in America and Europe is telling us that our world is allowing hate to win.

What frightens me most is the way some Jews are acting today.  We nurture hate when we reason it, justify it and especially when we deny it.

Our media and culture are fanning the flames of hate.  Fake news from either side is contributing. So are many politicians who are exploiting fear as means for motivation and dominance - POWER.

GOD IS OUR ROCK.  GOD'S WORD IS THE TRUTH. FAITH IS THE SOURCE OF OUR STRENGTH.  

We aren't just the victims of anti-Semitism. If we hate others, whether it is Trump and his supporters or Hillary and her supporters, whether it is people who have different views on climate or attitudes towards the 2nd Amendment, hate is hate and our hate adds to the dysfunction.

The rapid rise of anti-Semitism in America is warning us to check our politics. When our politics has become a partisan battle for power, and domination is the only means to an end, we have failed as a Nation.

The Father of our Nation, George  Washington warned us in his Farewell Letter how we might fail.  The writing has been on the wall for nearly 250 years.  But Americans today are just not reading it.

The writing came down from on High. It was delivered to the world on Mount Sinai. And it is in our Bible.

"Do not hate your fellow in your heart. Reprove. Don't nurture a grudge and take sin unto yourself.  Love your fellow as yourself. I am the LORD."

BEYOND HATE -- THE RISE OF RAGE

What would be the implication if 20-30 million Americans went temporarily insane in a fit of rage? 

According to psychologists there are three ways people react in a situation that makes us angry. These are: Passive Aggression, Open Aggression, and Assertive Anger. 

The function of all three expressions of anger, is to protect vulnerability and neutralize threat.  

In humans, the threat is almost always to the ego. 

Open aggression comes from a need to be in control. 

Anger is considered a secondary emotion. Typically, one of the primary emotions, like fear or sadness, can be found underneath the anger. Fear includes things like anxiety and worry, and sadness comes from the experience of loss, disappointment or discouragement.

Anger is the most physical of emotions. Angry and resentful people often get into trouble, especially in intimate relationships, without doing anything wrong, as their bodies and facial expressions devalue, demean, and express hostility outside their conscious awareness.  

With Open Aggression people have a tendency to lash out in anger and rage, becoming physically or verbally aggressive.

Examples of acting out Open Aggression include fighting, bullying, blackmailing, accusing, shouting, bickering, sarcasm and criticism. 

Being around angry and resentful people makes us resentful, even when they say nothing offensive. This is something that politicians who exploit public anger don’t seem to realize. The short-term gain they get from stirring anger will eventually turn against them. 

Those who live by the angry vote die by it.

Anger and rage are related to each other.  Most people do not find any hard difference between the two. Both anger and rage are emotional outbursts. Anger is a feeling or emotion that a person has when being offended or when wronged. 
Rage is an extreme expression of anger.

Anger does not have the pinch of rage. Unlike anger, rage is an intricate mix of fear, desperation anger and panic.

“In fact, severe anger is a form of insanity.  You are insane whenever you are not in control your behavior.  Therefore, when you are angry and out of control, you are temporarily insane”. – Wayne Dyer

Hundreds of Millions of Highly Emotional Americans 

In 2016, after an exceptionally hostile primary and Presidential campaign 65,853,514 voted for Hillary Clinton. That is approx. 48% of the popular vote. Trump received nearly 47%. 

Both candidates fanned fears and nurtured distrust of the other. As resentment grew for the candidates, so too did it between the voters. 

After a contentious Primary and a brutal Presidential campaign, emotions where very high going into the final election. 

Many voters were motivated more by negative sentiments, such as fear and distrust, than they were by positive attitudes toward their preferred candidate's political policies and campaign promises.

Beyond the Election

There is a subset of voters within both Hillary's and Trump's camps who are fiercely loyal to their candidate and have remained so.  

The attitudes and emotions many people formed of their opposing candidate have remained intact and strengthened since the election. 

Since Trump won the election, tens of millions of Democrats have resisted Trump, even going so far as to maintain that Trump is not their President.  Tens of millions of Democrats have held out hope that Trump would not serve out his first term.  

But it is beyond that. Tens of millions of Americans STILL BELIEVE the narrative that Hillary and the Clinton machine formulated and built with the Steele dossier and the full cooperation of the mainstream media. 

On the Republican side, many are more convinced than ever that the Clintons and the Washington Deep State organized a coup against a Presidential candidate which they perpetuated to this day.  

Furthermore, each side believes the media they watch is accurately promoting their narrative of the opposition and that only their preferred media is telling the truth. Neither side is listening and validating the feelings and opinions of the other side.

Throughout the campaign and to this day, both Democrats and Republicans have been sold and bought the view that the opposition candidate is a corrupt politician who belongs in jail. 

Where Does This Leave Us?

Hillary was completely correct when she warned during one of the Presidential debates how it would deeply damage America and the process of Democracy if the loser didn't accept the results of the election. She said this with full confidence -- full confidence that she would be the winner.

• To say Hillary has been a sore loser is an gross understatement.  

WE HAVE REACHED A TURNING POINT
The situation in America has arrived to a crucial point. One side or the other, Left or Right, is in for a huge disappointment.

The ego's of 50-100+ millions of Americans are entwined with their personal beliefs, both pro & con regarding Trump. 

Therefore, the outcome of the following matters will greatly trigger the ego's of many millions of Americans:

• The impeachment process
• Senate hearings into the start of Russian Collusion conspiracy 
• US Attorney Durham's criminal investigation
• The 2020 Presidential election

If Trump were to be thrown from office because of impeachment, tens of millions of his supporters on the Right would go into a fit of rage.

By same token, the Senate hearings and US Attorney Durham's criminal investigations could prove that Trump was correct all along and that there was a corrupt effort to destroy his presidency. If so, the reputation of the Democratic party and the mainstream media would be severely damaged. Trump would be assured re-election.  In this scenario it will be the Left that is sent into a fit of rage.

It is like our mother used to say when children are playing dangerously rough.  "ONE OF YOU IS GOING TO GET HURT!"

One way or the other, the ego's of tens of millions of Americans are on the line and about to be severely threatened!

Where Do We Go From Here?

For nearly a year I have been foreshadowing an ominous period of time ahead by tagging many of my Facebook and blog posts with the phrase "DESTRUCTION and REBIRTH." I have also associated this prediction with the date 0101■2020.

Given the way and pace things have been shaping up the last four years, I felt that with the turn of the decade the situation with anger would be acute. That is when the egos of tens of millions Americans would clash to such an extent that rage would rise to unprecedented levels.

When I first started making this prediction I had:

• No way of knowing that we would be going into the New Year with US Attorney John Durham conducting a criminal investigation.
• No way of knowing what the IG Report would actually find.
• No way of knowing that Articles of Impeachment would just be passed by and held up in the House. 
• No way of knowing that Senate hearings were going to be just getting underway.

ALL of these subsequent developments validate for me my prior intuitive sense of our situation in America. And they reinforce my perception of the seriousness of matters.

Things are coming to a head - a breaking point. As a result, emotions are heightened. People are feeling extremely vulnerable and our egos are being severally threatened.  That is a formula for pitched anger - RAGE.

This dynamic presents America with the most serious question in our lifetime:
What if 20-30 million Americans went temporarily insane in a fit of rage? 

My phrase DESTRUCTION and REBIRTH foreshadows what I believe the implications will be.

It is my opinion that rage will lead Americans and it's leaders to transform our systems of government in powerful and historic ways. There will be effects on other aspects of our society as well.

IT'S NOT ALL BAD. IN FACT, IT CAN BE VERY POSITIVE IN THE LONG RUN.
The situation I described above sounds frightening and it is.
People in state of rage are dangerous. So it is best to avoid them. You may even want to take some extra security precautions -- the obvious things.  Be smart and avoid or mitigate risk.

In a worst cases, society can become becomes chaotic and less reliable. So it is important be self-reliant so you and your family are less dependent.

Ultimately I have a positive outlook overall.  American has a history of coming out of crisis stronger. So while I do believe we are entering a challenging period in our Nation, we can emerge from this better than we have been.

In the meantime, allow me to offer some other recommendations for coping with this change.

1. I believe the times ahead will be very painful. But like childbirth, they will be worth it. And the love we feel for the newborn will wash way the pain. So my first recommendation is that we need to breath our way through it. (Try to stay calm.)

2. My second recommendation is to focus on being a good friend with a kind heart. Listen to and respect others, including those you disagree with.

3. We can all draw advice from the great Rabbi's, Sages and philosophers.  For example, Rabbi Eliezer ben Hurcanus, one of the most frequently sited Sages in the Mishna.

(The Mishnah or Mishna is the first major written collection of the Jewish oral traditions known as the "Oral Torah". It is also the first major work of rabbinic literature.)

Rabbi Eliezer wrote ancient rabbinic interpretation of scripture. Rabbi Eliezer says in Pirkei Avot (Wisdom of our Fathers): 

“. . . Do not be easy to anger.” (Avot 2:10)

Rabbi Joshua also said in Avot:

"an evil eye, the evil inclination, and hatred for humankind put a person out of the world."

Anger is one of the traits most condemned in Jewish literature. “Someone who gets angry,” we are told, “is like one who worships idols.” "Anger can cause a sage to lose his wisdom, or a person who is destined for greatness to forfeit it."

A COINCIDENCE DIDN'T HAPPEN TODAY!

TODAY, 0101■2020 A "COINCIDENCE" DIDN'T HAPPEN.  IT STARTED NEARLY 97 YEARS AGO!! 

Today an amazing moment happened and it wasn't New Year's.

It started on the first day of Rosh Hashanah approximately 97 years ago, in the Hebrew year 5684.  Which "happened" to fall on 9.11 (1923).

On 0101■2020 92,000 Jewish people filled the seats at MetLife for this year's event, 20,000 others gathered in Barclays Center in Brooklyn, along with thousands more at satellite locations across the U.S. and Israel to celebrate the SIYUM HASHAS.

Siyum HaShas celebrates completion of the study of the Talmud, which is said to be among the most challenging religious texts in the world. It is a daily regimen of learning that takes seven-and-a-half years to complete studying with one page read per day.

The Talmud is comprised of 2,711 densely written double-sides pages. Each called a Daf Yomi (דף יומי) "page of the day" or "daily folio."

This 0101■2020 Siyum HaShas marked the completion of the 13th cycle! 

13 is a very significant number in Judaism.  It is also the 13th letter in Hebrew alphabet -- the letter Mem. 

משה

Moses or Moshe משה begins with the letter mem. So does Messiah or Mashiach in Hebrew.

The gematria (numeric value and meaning) of mem is forty. Forty is the number of days it rained upon the earth during the Flood. Forty is also the num­ber of days Moses spent on Mount Sinai. Moses actually ascended the mountain three separate times. The first forty-day sojourn took place when he received the Torah. 

Mem, 13, is the age when a Jewish boy "comes of age" - he has become a Bar Mitzvah. He is also recognized as having the same rights and responsibilities as an adult. As such, he is obligated to observe the commandments. A girl is Bat Mitzvah at age 12.)

The Maimonides states that the number 13 represents the number of principles of Jewish faith .

In addition, the foundations of Judaism  are based on the original 13 Tribes of Israel: the 11 sons of Jacob and the 2 sons of Joseph.

According to the Talmud, the core of the Selichot (Supplication) prayers (Jewish penitential prayers and poems for forgiveness) is the 13 Attributes of Mercy that G-d taught Moses .

So today, on New Year's Day (the 4th day in the Hebrew month of TEVET in the year 5780), marking the completion of the 13th cycle of Talmud study, Jews around the world prayed for the Messiah.

I do not know what will happen tomorrow. All I know is that today, 0101■2020, a coincidence didn't happen.

IS THE WORLD READY? OF COURSE NOT. BUT ARE YOU?

WHAT IF THE ARK OF THE COVENANT NEVER LEFT? WHAT IF IT WAS REVEALED AT THIS TIME?

The ancient Jewish Temple in Jerusalem was built to excruciating detail to house the Ark of the Covenant which was also constucted in precise detail.  It was carried through the desert and guarded for hundreds of years and through the rein on many many Jewish Kings.

The Jews knew math and science. They knew prophecy and that they had a role in God's plan. They also knew they would be attacked again and again by large human forces.

Do you really think the ancient Jews would not have had a preconceived intricate and superior plan for hiding and securing the Ark of the Covenant.  And would not such a plan include creating decoys and myths to distract and confuse their enemies and treasure hunters???

What IF the Jews did prepare for the siege and the destruction of the Temple of Jerusalem?  What if the Ark has been hidden in Jerusalem for some 2 millennium?  And what IF it were to APPEAR in our time?

IS THE WORLD READY FOR THAT? ARE YOU READY FOR THAT?

Chassidic (mystics) teachings explain that "In general, G‑d has two opposite modes with which He operates: revealed (the natural) or concealed (the supernatural). Nature, with its seeming lack of Divinity, is a result of G‑d’s power to conceal Himself. Miracles, on the other hand, when the laws of nature are broken, are the very expression of G‑dliness, His power openly revealed. In truth, however, G‑d is beyond both of those, He is neither entirely concealed, nor revealed. Neither locked into operating in a hidden, limited manner, nor bound by his infinitude. He is beyond both, and can unite the two modalities if He so desires."

The Ark exists/operates in both modalities - natural and supernatural (miracles).

They say, when it is time, the Holy of Holies and the Ark will just show up.
